UFC Embedded: Tyron Woodley Promises ‘I Will Viciously Beat Darren Till’
Tyron Woodley is anxiously awaiting his next title defense.
On the latest episode of UFC Embedded ahead of UFC 228, Woodley is seen going through the early stages of his weight cut while finishing off preparations before traveling from his home in St. Louis down to Dallas for the fight.
Woodley takes on undefeated upstart Darren Till, who looks to dethrone the champion and become the first British fighter to hold the UFC welterweight title.
Obviously, Woodley has other plans and he laid it out in clear terms.
“I am the chosen one. I am the best welterweight that’s ever f–king fought in the Octagon ever, in the history of the sport,” Woodley said in the latest episode. “I will be victorious. I will reign. I will defend my title until I get tired of doing it. I will go out here, I will viciously beat Darren Till. I will beat him so bad he will reconsider fighting ever again in his life.
“He will move up to middleweight and every other welterweight will be on notice.”
Woodley is preparing for anything that could unfold in the fight with Till — including the fact that everything might go wrong and he has to find a way to win.
“My coach told me, he said ‘if the game plan goes to s–t and things get ugly and all else fails,’ he said ‘motherf–ker just fight’. Just fight,” Woodley said.
