Lamas returns after dropping back-to-back fights for the first time in his career. The veteran featherweight suffered a knockout loss to Josh Emmett before falling by split decision to Mirsad Bektic in his last outing.
Lamas will attempt to get back on track while facing Elkins, who has put together an impressive 6-1 record over his past seven fights in the UFC.
Elkins will be coming back from a loss this time, however, after falling to surging featherweight prospect Alexander Volkanovski in July.
Lamas vs. Elkins joins the UFC card in Argentina with the main event featuring local favorite Santiago Ponzinibbio against Neil Magny in a welterweight matchup.
