Rachael Ostovich vs. Paige VanZant Back On for UFC Fight Night in Brooklyn
The women’s flyweight fight between Rachael Ostovich and Paige VanZant is back on for the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Brooklyn, NY on Jan. 19.
Ostovich had originally been ruled out of the fight after suffering injuries in an alleged domestic violence assault that took place in her home in Hawaii. Ostovich’s husband Arnold Berdon was later arrested and charged with second-degree felony assault.
He has pled not guilty to the charges.
As a result of the attack, Ostovich suffered a broken orbital bone but she sought a second opinion with her physician to see if she could still be cleared in time to compete in January.
Now Ostovich’s manager Brian Butler of Suckerpunch Entertainment has confirmed she has been cleared to return to the fight.
VanZant also confirmed news of the fight being rebooked on Twitter.
