Following a broken arm in her most recent fight, Paige VanZant is ready to return as she’s expected to face Rachael Ostovich at a planned UFC event on Jan. 18, 2019 that will air on ESPN.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed verbal agreements are in place from both fighters, although the UFC hasn’t officially announced the date or location for the card in early 2019. MMAFighting initially reported the bout on Sunday.

The card is expected to air on ESPN as the UFC shifts from their current home on FOX when that deal expires at the end of 2018. UFC officials have not made any official announcements about this fight or the card and nothing is confirmed until bout agreements are signed and returned.

Assuming everything moves ahead as scheduled, VanZant will look to get back on track following two losses in a row including her flyweight debut against Jessica-Rose Clark in January.

VanZant suffered a broken arm in that fight and ended up having two separate surgeries to repair the damage after healing wasn’t going well after the first trip under the knife.

As for Ostovich, the former “Ultimate Fighter” contender has gone 1-1 in the UFC thus far with a submission win in her debut before falling to fellow reality show competitor Montana Stewart back in July.
