Leaving It In the Hands of the Judges? No More, According to Ohmbet
Ohmbet’s odds makers have implemented a new market for MMA bettors:
“Who wins by finish? Decision = return.”
That means if there are three possible outcomes for your bet — win, loss or return.
If the fighter you bet on wins by knockout/submission/disqualification, your bet is victorious.
If your fighter loses by knockout/submission/disqualification, your bet loses.
If the fight goes to (technical) decision, or just ends by a draw, your bet is returned.
But why would you even consider betting it?
Let’s look at this fight for example:
Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov
Currently Ohmbet offers odds:
Who Wins by Finish? Decision = Return
Khabib Nurmagomedov 1.80 – 2.00 Conor McGregor
Everybody knows that McGregor’s biggest chance of victory comes by knockout. It’s unlikely that he outstrikes Nurmagomedov for five rounds. If you believe in Conor, but you’re afraid he might lose by decision, then you should consider this bet at 2.00 odds. In case if this fight goes to the distance, your money will be returned.
On the other hand, if you think Nurmagomedov will smash Conor, but you don’t like 1.63 moneyline odds… Maybe 1.80 will be enough to convince you?
I will give you another reason, why this market is interesting. How many times you were angry because of a ridiculous decision? Unfortunately, hometown, biased or just unfair scorecards are part of sport.
UFC president, Dana White said many times “never leave it in the hands of judges”. And if you’re a fan of betting, now you don’t have to leave it in their hands anymore.
