British fighter Craig “The Thundercat” White will step into replace Gunnar Nelson on just 12 days notice for the card taking place on May 27 in Liverpool. UFC officials announced the change on Tuesday.

Nelson suffered a knee injury weeks ago but the UFC hadn’t found anyone to replace him until now.

White comes to the UFC with a 14-7 record while currently riding a four fight win streak with his last few bouts taking place under the Cage Warriors banner in England. White was preparing for an upcoming bout in Cage Warriors where he was expected to compete for the welterweight title but now he’ll fight in Liverpool instead.

During his career, White has faced some UFC talent along with way with fights against both Leon Edwards and Oskar Piechota.

Now he will join them on the UFC roster as he looks to pull off the massive upset against a top 15 ranked fighter in Magny, who is coming off a dominant win over former interim champion Carlos Condit in his last fight.
