5 New Fights Confirmed for UFC 229 Including Felice Herrig vs. Michelle Waterson

UFC 229 is quickly filling up the undercard with five new fights confirmed on Thursday including a women’s strawweight bout between Felice Herrig and Michelle Waterson.

The strawweight showdown joins a growing line up for the card headlined by lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov facing off with Conor McGregor in the main event.

In addition to Herrig vs. Waterson, several previously rumored fights were made official for the UFC 229 card.

Sergio Pettis will take on Jussier Formiga in a flyweight bout that could put the winner one step away from a title shot against new champion Henry Cejudo.

Ovince Saint-Preux faces off with fast rising light heavyweight contender Dominick Reyes.

Lina Lansberg takes on Yana Kunitskaya in a women’s bantamweight bout while Ryan LaFlare meets Tony Martin in a welterweight showcase.

All of the fights were announced by UFC officials by way of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
