Watch Highlights Of The UFC 218 Weigh-Ins As All Fighters Hit The Mark

There was chaos at The Ultimate Fighter 26 weigh-ins yesterday in Las Vegas, but there was no repeat in Detroit today as all fighters made weight for the UFC 218 fight card tomorrow evening.

First on the scales this morning was strawweight Angela Magana who looked liked she had no problem hitting 115-pounds. A flurry of fighters then followed and there was very little drama.

Eddie Alvarez joked with reporters that he thought he was weighing-in for a title fight when he hit 155-pounds, whilst Alistair Overeem (235-pounds) added to the humour when he hit the scales second to last looking as if he’d just rocked out of bed.

The UFC featherweight title was confirmed, but Max Holloway and Jose Aldo looked as if they’d had the hardest times making the weight. Holloway made use of the towel to hit 145-pounds and was bizarrely assisted by Justin Gaethje who weighed in shortly after at 156-pounds. Fighters may want to think twice again before using Gaethje as a towel holder. Poor Holloway’s “Blessed” a** was exposed as he got off the scales as Gaethje dropped it just a little too early.

Jose Aldo was the last man on the scales and there was a little fright when his weight was first read aloud as 146-pounds. Thankfully, Aldo used the towel and on his second attempt he registered 145-pounds and thus confirmed the title fight for tomorrow.

It’s worth noting that Francis Ngannou came in at his heaviest ever at 262-pounds.
