Vinny Magalhaes suffers terrible leg injury in grappling bout with Craig Jones
Those who don’t think that grappling can have brutal moments clearly aren’t well-versed enough in the discipline. This is something that we got to see in the recent Submission Underground 13 grappling event. The headlining fight saw UFC and PFL veteran Vinny Magalhaes take on grappling ace Craig Jones in a bout that saw the former suffer a terrible leg injury.
The event went down in an abandoned grain silo in Oregon, behind closed doors due to the ongoing pandemic. JOnes quickly dropped to guard, going for Magalhaes left leg. After several submission attempts it became clear that Magalhaes had suffered an injury to his left leg. The injury pain proved to be too much for Magalhaes, who verbally submitted, earning Jones the win.
