VIDEO: Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal: “Last Man Standing”
Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are pulling out all the stops ahead of their boxing match later this summer.
Behind the Scenes: Last Man Standing
On July 6 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Diaz and Masvidal will face off in a 10-round boxing match, continuing their rivalry that began with the original “BMF” title. Over the past few weeks, the fighters have taken part in a series of press conferences to promote their upcoming showdown.
They have now gone a step further with a Countdown-style docuseries titled “Last Man Standing,” which follows the two fighters leading up to the event. The first episode premiered on YouTube recently and offers a deep dive into their training camps and the origins of their rivalry.
The Origin of Their Rivalry
Their first encounter took place at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden, where Masvidal won via TKO due to a doctor stoppage. This bout was highly anticipated and quickly became one of the most talked-about events in UFC history. Now, the rivalry is set to continue in the boxing ring. Masvidal expressed his eagerness to settle the score, saying,
“I want to beat the f****** brakes off him. He always said that the referee saved me. I don’t think anybody with common sense would agree. So I think this fight right here puts an end to all that bulls***.” Diaz, equally motivated, remarked, “This is a new fight and I’m here to win. That’s what it’s all about.”

This highly anticipated event on July 6 promises to be a night filled with action and drama.
