A controversial figure in MMA, Dillon Danis was attacked at a nightclub in NYC.

Dillon Danis, controversial friend and training partner to Conor McGregor, was recently involved in a huge brawl at the New York City nightclub The Box, cirka 1:25 AM. In the video above Danis can be seen getting sucker-punched by an unnamed assailant. Danis gets to his feet again after being attacked, and the video cuts out before any more of the brawl continues on tape.

As of now details are scarce, and Danis has not yet made a statement regarding the incident. An eye witness, who wished not to be named when speaking with The Daily Mail, had the following to say:

Dillon Danis attack – “It was vicious”

“I was scared. It was vicious.

“Dillon was just sitting down relaxing and that shirtless guy with the yellow garland just attacked him.”

All things considered, Danis does not appear to be seriously injured, and security broke up the fight quickly. According to the witness Danis made his way outside of the club.

“Security rushed in”

“But I’m an UFC fan and I knew that was Dillon Danis, so when I saw things were starting to get aggressive I pulled out my phone real quick, then I ran right out of there.

“All the security rushed in and loads of people, including Dillon, ran outside with me.

“The fight happened right before the show was about to start, I missed the show because of it, I didn’t want to go back in there after that.

“I didn’t hang around to see if the cops got called, I wanted to get as far away from there as possible.”

Danis is coming off of his second straight win in MMA; after tapping out Max Humphry. He does not have another fight booked as of the time of this article.
