After the monumental celebration at UFC 300, the leading MMA organization is back in the APEX cage in Las Vegas for another Fight Night. UFC Vegas 91 features top-ranked flyweights Matheus Nicolau and Alex Perez clashing in the night’s main event. Originally, Nicolau was slated to face Manel Kape, but Kape had to withdraw due to a rib injury.
Main Event Background
Nicolau enters the fight coming off a tough KO loss to Brandon Royval on April 15 last year, while Perez has been on a three-fight losing streak that dates back to November 2020, when he lost to Deiveson Figueiredo in a title bout.
Co-Main Event Spotlight
In the co-main event, Ryan Spann seeks to get back on the winning track against Uzbek fighter Bogdan Guskov. Guskov lost his octagon debut to Volkan Oezdemir in September 2023 but bounced back impressively with a knockout win over Zac Pauga in February.
