The UFC has just signed one of the most interesting prospects in the sport.

If you don’t know the name Israel Adesanya yet, you will soon enough.

The 28-year old Nigerian fighter competing out of New Zealand has just inked a deal with the UFC where he will debut in Feb. at UFC 221 in Australia against Rob Wilkinson. UFC officials announced the news on Thursday.

https://twitter.com/UFC_AUSNZ/status/946492060269342720 Adesanya — nicknamed ‘The Style Bender — is 11-0 as a mixed martial artist including a TKO victory against former UFC fighter Melvin Guillard earlier this year. While Adesanya has experience in MMA, he’s best known for his kickboxing career where he amassed a ridiculous 65-5-2 record with some of the most jaw-dropping knockouts in the sport. Adesanya is best known for his lightning quick head kicks, which have finished more than a few opponents during his career. Now Adesanya joins the UFC middleweight division where he will look to kick off his career in Feb. as part of the upcoming card in Perth, Australia.
