UFC President Dana White SOUNDS OFF on Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva
UFC President Dana White does not have many positive things to say about YouTube boxer Jake Paul, but he likes the idea of the 25-year-old taking on the former UFC Champion Anderson Silva!
Paul is set to face “The Spider” Silva in an anticipated boxing bout on 29 October. The fight has not been made official but several sources, including TMZ Sport, have confirmed that 25-year-old Paul and 47-year-old Silva will square off in the ring. The UFC President was asked about Paul vs Silva during the press conference after this week’s Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS). White reluctantly shared his thoughts on Paul and could not help to give props to the social media star.
“I don’t give a shit about [Jake Paul], White said. “But if he’s really fighting Anderson Silva, if that’s true, it’s about time. He’s got a real fight on his hands there, regardless of how old Anderson is. Yeah, that’s a real fight.”

Needless to say, White is fed up with being asked about Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul.

It is still unclear where Paul vs Silva will take place, but there has been talk of Phoenix. The anticipated fight is expected to be the main event of a Showtime PPV event.
It will be Paul’s return to the ring after two canceled bouts against Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. Paul’s last fight was in December when he knocked out former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley. A couple of months prior, he had defeated Woodley via split decision and in April 2021, Paul knocked out former MMA champion Ben Askren. Paul has been criticized for not facing opponents with boxing experience but will have his hands full with “The Spider” Silva, widely regarded as one of best strikers in MMA history.
Silva transitioned to boxing after ending his UFC career with only one win in his last nine bouts. So far, the 47-year-old MMA legend has excelled in his boxing career with an impressive decision win against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and a knockout win over Tito Ortiz last year.
