UFC Hamburg To Be Headlined By Volkan Oezdemir vs Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua
The main event for UFC Hamburg has been set and it will be headlined by Volkan Oezdemir taking Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.
The news was announced this morning on the UFC social media.

The bout was originally expected to take place at UFC Fight Night 129 on May 12 in Santiago, Chile, but last week it was reported by Combate that the fight had been scratched from the card after it was determined that Oezdemir could not leave the United States because of an impending court case.
Shogun (25-10) is currently riding a three fight win streak with wins over Gian Villante, Corey Anderson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Oezdemir (15-2) is coming off a loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 221. Prior to that he had picked up three wins in a row under the UFC banner including victories over Ovince Saint Preux, Misha Cirkunov and Jimi Manuwa.
No other bouts have been made official for UFC Hamburg. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
