UFC Fresno Rebook Outfitting Payouts: Brian Ortega Takes Home $5,000

The winner of the UFC Fresno main event last evening Brian Ortega bagged just $5,000 from Reebok.

Brian Ortega upset the odds last night at UFC Fight Night Fresno when he defeated Cub Swanson via submission in the second round – Full report.

Swanson looked to be getting the better of the standing exchanges, but Ortega prevailed and he caught the WEC veteran in a slick guillotine choke to force the submission. It was a good night for Ortega who learned afterwards that he’d bagged a ‘Performance of the Night’ and a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus check.

While Ortega may have lined his pockets with two $50,000 bonuses, his Reebok outfitting paycheck was a little impressive as he took home a second-tier $5,000 check for his troubles. Cub Swanson was the highest earner from the outfitting payouts as he took home $20,000 in addition to his own portion of the ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus.

MMA Junkie reported that the event drew an attendance of 7,605 and a live gate of $568,290.
