UFC Calgary Official With Fights Set For Jose Aldo, Ross Pearson, Randa Markos And A Returning Ion Cutelaba
The UFC will return to Calgary, Canada on July 28 for UFC on Fox 30.
The news was revealed this morning by Danny Austin of the Calgary Sun.
A main event is yet to be announced, but the fight card is already building up nicely.
The co-main event will feature a featherweight bout pitting former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo against Jeremy Stephens (previously reported by Ana Hissa of Combate)
Two women’s fights have been announced with a flyweight bout between Alexis Davis and Katlyn Chookagian joining a strawweight battle between Randa Markos and Nina Ansaroff (previously reported by Nolan King)
Elsewhere, Dustin Ortiz will face Matheus Nicolau in flyweight action, whilst Gadzhimurad Antigulov will take on Ion Cutelaba who will return for the first time since being suspended by USADA for six months having voluntarily disclosed that he used an ozone therapy blood transfusion treatment ahead of the bout.
Also on the card, a pair of lightweight fights will take place with John Makdessi taking on Ross Pearson, whilst Kajan Johnson faces Islam Makhachev (previously reported by TASS)
In welterweight action, Jordan Mein will face Alex Morono and last but not least Hakeem Dawodu look to bounce back from a defeat in his UFC debut to Danny Henry when he takes on Austin Anett (previously reported by Ariel Helwani).
