Poirier comes from three consecutive victories, including two impressive performances and wins against UFC star Conor McGregor. Oliveira won the title against Michael Chandler at UFC 262 in May this year and has an impressive winning streak of nine fights in the UFC.

In the co-main event, another title fight will take place, as the champion Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes will defend her belt against Julianna Peña in a bantamweight clash. Nunes has looked unstoppable since she won both her titles and is the big favorite according the bookmakers ahead of the this exciting match-up between the top of the women’s bantamweight division. They should have met already in August this year but the fight was canceled due to Nunes having to withdraw.
Fan favorite and UFC star Sean O’Malley returns to the cage and starts off the main card when he takes on “Dana White’s Contender Series” talent Raulian Paiva. O’Malley also made his UFC debut after appearing in DWCS and this fight is expected to be an entertaining and fast paced on paper.
On the under card, the former champion and UFC vet Dominick Cruz is facing Pedro Munhoz who comes from a tough loss against Jose Aldo. Cruz made his comeback last year against the champion Henry Cejudo and lost in the second round. Earlier this year in March, Cruz fought Casey Kenney and won the fight via decision.
