UFC 246: McGregor vs Cerrone ALREADY SOLD OUT – Millions earned
Tickets for UFC 246 are already sold out, within hours of coming on sale. The UFC released tickets to the event just a few days ago, the perfect Christmas gift for UFC fans. According to Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole, who got his information directly from UFC president Dana White, tickets sold out on the very first day upon being released for sale. This has in turn already produced a $10 million dollar gate ahead of the event, which goes down January 18th at the T-Mobile Arena.
“Per Dana White #UFC246 sold out , T-Mobile Arena on first day on sale. Gate of $10 million.”

The main event for the now sold out UFC 246 pits returning superstar Conor McGregor against fan favourite Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Both enter the bout with question marks around them, as both are coming off losses and McGregor has had a lengthy absence from the cage following a string of controversies. Despite this, Cerrone has elected to take the high route and not comment negatively on McGregor’s recent problems.
“What the dude has done inside of the cage, and what he’s done for the sport is amazing,” Cerrone said. “I’m honoured to fight a guy like him and it’s going to be one hell of a battle and I’m looking forward to it.”
McGregor echoes these friendly sentiments, as he commented on a post “Cowboy” made on social media. “Happy holidays to you and the family, from the McGregor’s here in Ireland. See you in 20/20 with bullseye vision.”
Cerrone has two straight T/KO losses, against elite lightweight fighters Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. McGregor hasn’t fought since a 2018 submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov. Both fighters are in dire need of a win, but that certainly isn’t turning this into a grudge match.
