Tim Elliott Draws Newcomer Mark Delarosa at UFC 219 in Las Vegas

Tim Elliot has a new opponent for the year-end card on Dec. 30

Tim Elliott finally has a fight.

The former “Ultimate Fighter” winner is now expected to face newcomer Mark Delarosa at bantamweight in a new fight just added to UFC 219 in Las Vegas on Dec. 30.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Tuesday with Elliot also confirming his opponent via Twitter.

Elliott was expected to fight at last weekend’s UFC on FOX card in Canada but his opponent Pietro Menga came in well over the flyweight limit, which eventually led to their bout being cancelled.

The UFC scrambled to find Elliot a new opponent and now Delarosa will get his chance inside the Octagon as he joins the promotion with a perfect 9-0 record while training under Gilbert Melendez at his Skrap Pack gym in California.

Elliott vs. Delarosa joins the UFC 219 card with women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg facing off with Holly Holm in the five round main event.
