Thiago Silva Signs For KSW And Debuts At KSW 45 In London
Brazilian light heavyweight Thiago Silva has signed for KSW and will make his promotional debut next month on Oct. 6 when he takes on James McSweeney at KSW 45.

Silva (20-7) has won four of his last six bouts and briefly reigned as the ACB light heavyweight champion after defeating Jared Torgeson at ACB 51 back in January. The Brazilian then went on to lost his title to Batraz Agnaev at ACB 65, before bouncing back with a win over Jose Daniel Toledo Canellas at ACB 74. In his last bout, Silva was defeated by Mikhail Kolobegov via split decision at ACB 82. He was then expected to fight Chris Camozzi in Australia, but ran into visa issues and was unable to make the trip to Brisbane.
McSweeney (15-16), another UFC veteran, has lost five of his last six bouts. The Brit fought three times officially in the UFC after being a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter series 10 show. McSwweeney defeated Darrill Schoonover in the TUF 10 finale, but was then defeated by Travis Browne at the TUF 11 finale. He was then defeated by Fabio Maldonado at UFC 120 and was subsequently cut from the organisation.
In other news, Ariane Lipski (11-3) has vacated the KSW women’s flyweight title and has signed for the UFC.
“The Violence Queen” is riding a nine fight win and according to Brazilian outlet Combate will debut against Maryna Moroz (8-3) at UFC Buenos Aires in Argentina on November 17.
