Stefan Struve vs. Marcin Tybura In the Works for UFC Fight Night in Germany
By Damon Martin and Jim Edwards
A heavyweight showdown between Stefan Struve and Marcin Tybura is currently in the works for the UFC’s upcoming return to Hamburg, Germany on July 22.
Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Thursday.
Both Struve and Tybura are looking to bounce back from recent losses as they clash in a heavyweight matchup between two top names from Europe.
Struve, who hails from the Netherlands, has fallen short in his last two bouts against Andrei Arlovski and Alexander Volkov, but the 7-footer will attempt to get back in the win column when he fights in July.
As for Tybura, he’s also suffered back-to-back losses to Fabricio Werdum and Derrick Lewis, which stopped his three fight win streak in the always tough UFC heavyweight division.
Struve vs. Tybura is the first confirmed fight for the card in Germany with more bouts expected to be added in the coming weeks.
