Shara Magomedov Confident He Can Stop Khamzat Chimaev

Shara Magomedov recently discussed a potential showdown with Khamzat Chimaev, revealing his confidence in handling Chimaev’s renowned grappling.
During UFC Abu Dhabi’s media day, Magomedov stated, “Even if I get taken down, it doesn’t matter because my elbows will get the job done.”
Despite competing at middleweight only a few times in the UFC, Chimaev remains a significant force in the division. He was scheduled to fight Robert Whittaker in June but had to withdraw due to health issues. His return is expected at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, but an opponent is yet to be confirmed.

Magomedov elaborated on how he envisions a fight with Chimaev: “I’ll always be dangerous and ready to defend takedowns, but even if I end up on my back, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep hurting him.”
