See Cain Velasquez EMBARRASS Brock Lesnar in WWE
With the way things are going for Cain Velasquez in the WWE, it’s not strange that he’s uncertain about a UFC return. He’s enjoyed a huge amount of popularity and success in the WWE since joining, with fans truly embracing him. After tonight’s performance against Brock Lesnar, Velasquez once again came out on top.
Lesnar is the reigning WWE champion, and was challenged by Velasquez who joined forces with Rey Mysterio. In what was somewhat reminiscent of UFC 121, Velasquez ran right through Lesnar once again. Velasquez gained top position following a double leg take down, beating on Lesnar until the latter fled the ring.

After nearly three years away Velasquez returned to the UFC in February this year, taking on former title contender Francis Ngannou. Just 26 seconds into the fight Velasquez was buckled, fell to the ground and the bout was called off, ruled a TKO victory of Ngannou. He has not lost two out of his last three fights in the UFC, with his last win coming in 2015.
Lesnar has been one of the UFC’s biggest draws since his debut in the promotion in 2008. Five of the events he’s fought at have reached over one million pay-per-view buys. His return to the UFC in 2016 at UFC 200 was somewhat of a flop though. While he handily defeated Mark Hunt, he also tested positive for steroids, and the bout was ruled a No Contest.
