Salim Touahri vs Bradley Scott Scratched From UFC Liverpool
Salim Touahri vs Bradley Scott will not take place at UFC Liverpool following an injury to the Polish fighter.
MMANytt confirmed the news with both fighters earlier today, the news was reported by Polsat Sports.
Touahri (10-2) revealed that he’d suffered a knee injury four weeks ago whilst training at American Top Team and that he will know more about the seriousness of the injury later this week when he learns whether or not he will require surgery. The Pole last fought back at UFC Fight Night 118 in Gdansk, Poland when he was defeated by Warlley Alves via a unanimous decision in his UFC debut.
Scott (11-5) has been on the end of some bad luck already this year after his scheduled fight with Jack Marshman fell out 24-hours prior to fight night after the Welshman was pulled out of the fight following concerns with his weight cut. The Brit last fought back at UFC Fight Night 114 when he was defeated by Jack Harmansson via TKO in the first round. Scott debuted in the UFC back in 2012 and has a 3-4 record in the organization.
UFC Fight Night 131 in Liverpool currently has 11 bouts following the loss of Touahri vs Scott.
The UFC announced earlier today that British fighter Craig White had signed for the organization and will take on Niel Magny in the co-main event of the evening.
