Robert Whittaker vs. Yoel Romero 2 Set as Main Event for UFC 225 in Chicago
The rematch between middleweight champion Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero will headline UFC 225 at the United Center in Chicago on June 9.
UFC officials confirmed the news via “UFC Tonight” on Thursday.

This will be the second time in less than a year Whittaker and Romero have faced off in a title fight main event. Last July, Whittaker edged out Romero in a five round battle to claim the interim middleweight title before he was later declared the undisputed champion.
Since that time, Romero went onto knockout former champion Luke Rockhold to reclaim his spot as the No. 1 contender in the division so he will get a second shot at Whittaker in June.
While UFC 225 is still coming together, sources say that the promotion is exploring options to add a second title fight to the card, although nothing has been set in stone as of yet.
