In the announcement, ACB hinted at the fact that his debut for the promotion will take place on Aug. 11 in Malmo, Sweden at ACB 92.
Madadi (14-6) last fought back in May 2017 when he was defeated by Joaquim Silva at UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm Sweden. The loss was the Swede’s second in a row having lost to Joe Duffy earlier in the year and he was ultimately released by the organization. During his UFC run, Madadi scored wins over Yoislandy Izquierdo, Michael Johnson and Yan Cabral.
Back in 2013, Madadi was arrested for the burglary of a designer handbag store in Sweden. After being found guilty and being sentenced to 18 months in prison, Madadi appealed and was found guilty for the second time. He then served 14 months in prison before being released in March 2015.
No fights have yet been announced for the ACB 92 fight card in Malmo and the promotion is yet to announced whether the Swedish Mixed Martial Arts organization have given the green light for the event to take place.
ACB was allegedly targeting an event in Stockholm last year but the event never transpired.
