UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is slated to face interim champion Dustin Poirier in a unification bout at UFC 242 this weekend. It’s an exciting, high-stakes match up, taking place in Abu Dhabi. This will he Nurmagomedov second defence, following his record-breaking fight with arch rival Conor McGregor. The fight took place at UFC 229 last year, and broke all earlier record, becoming the most successful MMA pay-per-view of all time.

Nurmagomedov faces Poirier on Saturday, September 7th, McGregor, however, does not have a fight booked at the moment. He has issued a challenge to two-time foe Nate Diaz, suggesting a trilogy fight.
