Paddy Pimblett Wins Over $200,000 in Bonuses at UFC 304
Paddy Pimblett’s Impressive Victory at UFC 304
Paddy Pimblett had just signed a lucrative new UFC contract and secured a spot in the lightweight rankings when Dana White sat down for the morning’s post-fight press conference after UFC 304.
The Liverpool-born fighter defeated King Green via submission at UFC 304, sending the packed Co-Op Arena crowd into a frenzy early Sunday morning. He left the veteran unconscious in the first round, a result likely to place him among the top 15 in the rankings next week.
Double Bonus for Paddy Pimblett
Things got even better for the Scouser fighter when UFC president Dana White announced that he had not one but two performance bonuses for his victory. Other bonus recipients included interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and early prelim winner Mick Parkin.
Paddy Pimblett secured his sixth consecutive UFC victory with his most significant win to date against Bobby Green in Manchester. The Brit looked solid in the initial exchanges, utilizing his considerable size advantage throughout the evening.
Green appeared much smaller than the statistics suggested when they faced off, and he was likely surprised by how much Paddy had improved on his feet. This might have led to a shocking move when the American decided to attempt a takedown, giving Pimblett the opportunity to secure a guillotine. From there, “The Baddy” managed to lock in a triangle, ending the match and leaving Green unconscious.
The result revived a crowd that had started to wane due to the late hour, with the main card fights beginning as late as 5 a.m.

Dana White’s Praise for Paddy Pimblett
After the event, Dana White was critical of several fighters’ performances that night, noting a series of decisions in a row. These results were softened by the fact that Pimblett and Aspinall delivered significant victories late in the night, followed by a five-round decision in the main event.
During the post-fight press conference, the UFC president had much praise for Paddy Pimblett:
“Paddy is one of those guys that everyone talks shit about and everyone wants to challenge. He keeps winning, and he looked damn good tonight; that’s why he got $200,000.”
White continued, saying:
“I mean, I don’t think Bobby Green has been choked out since like 2009. So congratulations to him, that’s a guy who came out tonight looking like he wanted an extra $100,000.”
After the match, Pimblett was awarded two bonuses for his performance, which, along with his new contract, likely made it a very lucrative morning for Pimblett. UFC Europe shared a video post-fight where he celebrated and declared that his twin children would get “$100,000 each.”
