One Championship Reveals New Partnership with Amazon Prime!
The martial arts organization ONE Championship has secured a new agreement with the e-commerce giant Amazon.
On Wednesday, the organization revealed that they have reached an agreement with Amazon for streaming rights in North America. Twelve ONE events will be broadcast via Amazon Prime Video each year. No date has been set for the organization’s first show with Amazon, but ONE has promised that it will be revealed later this year.
Recently, the organization has expanded its rooster with several big names, including former UFC champions such as flyweight legend Demetrious Johnson and former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.
However, the ONE Championships unique selling point is the local talent. Asia has a large selection of sharp strikers who are among the best in the world, such as the bantamweight champion in kickboxing Hiroki Akimoto and the featherweight champion Superbon Singha Mawynn. ONE events also offer a large selection of different types of bouts in Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA and grappling.
The rising success and the many talents make the ONE Championship an exciting alternative to the world’s largest MMA organization UFC. The ONE boss hopes for further growth in the future and wants to reach even more fans with the help of Amazon.
ONE chief Chatri Sityodtong released the following statement after the news of the new deal was revealed.
– As the world’s largest martial arts organization, we believe that our collaboration with Amazon Prime will enable us to reach a larger audience in North America who are hungry for an authentic and unique product that you simply can not get with any other organization, said Chatri. We look forward to showcasing the absolute best martial artists on the planet, here in the ONE Championships circle and on Prime Video.
