Odds released for Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz

After this weeks UFC 241 Nate Diaz returned and took the spotlight as he bulldozed former UFC champion Anthony Pettis, winning a clear unanimous decision. Following his triumphant return, Diaz took the opportunity to call out Jorge Masvidal, responding to the latter’s desire to fight. After the event this has been the most talked about fight that can be booked, despite a potential trilogy between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic looming as well. Now the oddsmakers at Ohmbet have released odds for the potential bout.

The newly released odds predict a close fight, with Diaz coming out as a slight underdog at 2.12, and Masvidal as a small favourite at 1.70. The two fighters have fightingstyles that are similar in their fan-friendly excitement, yet different when it comes to fundamentals. Masvidal is considered as having more knockout power, something that is reflected in his two straight knockout wins. Diaz’ boxing is hailed by many as amongst the best in the sport, though he uses it in more of a grinding style, slowing breaking down his opponents.

Both fighters also have unfiltered, brash personalities that lend themselves well to both fans and headlines. Both fighters are no-nonsense fan favourites and while a bout between the two hasn’t been officially announced, it’s the fight that fans are clamouring to see.
