Norman Parke Tunes Up Lukasz Chlewicki On His Way To A Decision Win At KSW 43

Norman Parke picked up his first win under the KSW banner with a victory over Lukasz Chlewicki in Wroclaw, Poland.

Norman Parke is back in the mix of the KSW lightweight title picture after defeating Lukasz Chlewicki at KSW 43.

The Northern Irishman missed weight by 3.1lbs last Friday but he put that disappointment behind him and put on an impressive performance on fight night.

Weight aside, Parke had a big size advantage over the Pole and he used his range to good effect early as he probed away with kicks to the body.

Midway through the round Parke landed a solid kick to the liver and the Pole winced with pain and covered his midsection. Parke then looked to pile on the pressure but an inadvertent eye poke brought a brief pause to the action.

Parke defended two takedowns when the action resumed and then landed a nice left hand through guard when Chlewicki has his back to the fence before the end of the round.

Chlewicki opened up round two aggressively and landed a pair of nice left hands to get the attention of Parke. The Northern Irishman took them well though and he went back to assaulting the legs of the Pole with some nice leg kicks.

The crowd continued to react loudly to the Pole’s counters, but Parke landed a series of big lefts to stun him against the cage. Parke then looked to finish the fight, but swung wildly and failed to land the killing blow before reverting to a takedown and finishing the round landing strikes in guard.

Chlewicki was somehow still in the fight heading into round three but it was Parke again who landing first in the exchanges. Another stuff kick to the body had the Pole shouting out in pain, but still he fought on looking to take Parke down with no success.

A horrible gash then opened around the right eye of Chlewicki who was taking sharp intakes of breathe with every step. Parke then dropped Chlewicki with a head kick and then continued his assault on the ground.

In between elbows Parke shouted “I’m champion” as he continued to punish the Pole with a savage ground assault. Parke then finish the fight raining down blows as the time elapsed.

Both Parke and Chlewicki then showed great respect for one another after the bout and took turns lifting each above their shoulders.

Parke was then deservedly announced the winner via a unanimous decision.
