Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal Press Conference Erupts into Chaos

✔ Chaos ensues after Diaz exits press conference - AGAIN!

The final press conference before the highly anticipated Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal 2 boxing match ended in absolute chaos. The bout, set for July 6 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, will see the UFC veterans face off in a 10-round light heavyweight (175 lbs/79 kg) boxing match.

This conference was anything but ordinary. Diaz, visibly agitated, engaged in heated exchanges with Masvidal and others involved in the event. After criticizing Masvidal and the organizers, Diaz abruptly decided to leave the event.

Diaz Explodes at Press Conference

“Not this fing press conference,” Diaz responded when asked about his concerns. “I’m tired of sitting here, I’m tired of looking at all these fers, I’m tired of looking at you too!” he directed at host Brian Campbell. “I’m tired of all this s***. I’m done with this press conference s***. I’m glad we’re here to promote these great fights. But other than that, I think my job here is done. No more press conferences until my next fight.”

Turning to Masvidal, he added,

“F*** this ugly motherf***er. Man, I hate being disrespectful to you, but I’m tired of seeing you too,” he continued to Campbell. “I’m out. I’m good. See you all. Peace out.”

Chaos in the Audience

Diaz stood up to leave while organizers pleaded for him to face Masvidal one last time. Reluctantly, Diaz posed for a face-off but then grabbed the microphone to tell Masvidal,

“Square off with yourself, motherf***er.”

Soon after, a brawl broke out among the audience, reportedly involving members of Team Diaz. Masvidal managed to avoid the fray as security intervened.

Background on the Fight

This rematch marks their second encounter, following their UFC clash in 2019 where Masvidal won by TKO due to a doctor’s stoppage. This boxing match is a significant event as both fighters transition from their MMA careers to the boxing ring. Diaz recently made his boxing debut against Jake Paul, while Masvidal, who last fought in MMA against Gilbert Burns, is making a return to boxing for the first time since 2005.
