Diaz Defends McGregor’s Decision

Despite their storied rivalry, Nate Diaz has shown support for Conor McGregor’s decision to withdraw from UFC 303 due to injury. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Diaz defended McGregor’s choice to prioritize his health. “I think it was just a minor thing,” Diaz said.

“They made a bigger deal out of it than it is. Good idea. If I get fcked up, I would like to push the fight back too, but people fcking freak out.”

Understanding the Injury

McGregor was set to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 during International Fight Week, but a broken toe forced him to withdraw. Diaz highlighted the importance of being fully prepared and healthy before stepping into the octagon, pointing out that many critics lack the experience to understand such decisions.

“In the past, I’ve done all kinds of sh*t I shouldn’t have done. So, I think he learned from experience,” Diaz added.
