MMA Jim Podcast: Breaking Down The Conor McGregor Madness At Bellator 187

Conor McGregor made big news last evening at Bellator 187 when he stormed into the cage to celebrate Charlie Ward's win

You can’t keep Conor McGregor out of the headlines these days, seemingly not even at Bellator MMA fight cards.

Last evening, McGregor was involved in some crazy scenes at Bellator 187 when he jumped the cage to celebrate with his SBG Ireland teammate, Charlie Ward. McGregor was cageside to witness Ward finishing John Redmond in the final seconds of the first round and he jumped over the fence and into the arms of his good friend to celebrate. Marc Goddard, who was refereeing the fight between Ward and Redmond, asked McGregor to leave the cage and put both hands on the Irishman to try usher him away from the scene.

McGregor interpreted Goddard’s intervention as a push and from there, all hell broke loose in the Bellator MMA cage. After a further few skirmishes in the cage, McGregor was then struck out a member of the commission after he had scaled another side of the cage.

MMANytt.com were on the scene on the night and captured all of the madness as it all went down. Here’s what our reporter made of the mad scenes surrounding McGregor and the rest of the BAMMA 32 and Bellator 187 fight cards:
