Michelle Waterson Faces Cortney Casey at UFC on FOX 29 in Arizona
“The Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson will make her return to action on April 14 when she faces Cortney Casey in a strawweight matchup at UFC on FOX 29 in Glendale, Arizona.
UFC officials confirmed the booking via AZCentral on Thursday.
Waterson (14-6) will look to bounce back from two consecutive losses after falling to Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres in her past pair of appearances in the Octagon. Prior to those setbacks, Waterson won her first two fights in the UFC including an impressive first round submission victory over Paige VanZant.
Meanwhile, Casey (7-5) has bounced back and forth between wins and losses over her past four fights win wins against Randa Markos and Jessica Aguilar while dropping bouts to Felice Herrig and Claudia Gadelha.
Waterson vs. Casey joins a growing line up headed to Glendale, Arizona on April 14 with the main event pitting Dustin Poirier against Justin Gaethje in a pivotal lightweight battle to headline UFC on FOX 29.
