Michael Bisping Says Colby Covington Is A ‘F*cking Idiot’ Who ‘Hasn’t Gone Anywhere Yet’
Michael Bisping has never been one to bite his tongue and this week it was Colby Covington who came under fire from the former UFC middleweight champion.
Speaking on the MMA Roasted Podcast this week, Bisping was asked what he made of Covington and his recent behaviour over the past year. Bisping admitted himself that he’d not been one to shy away from trash talking in the past, but he still saw fit to tell it exactly like it is when it came to the American.
“Yeah listen, I mean Jesus Christ, there have been things I regret saying all the time, of course I have yeah, I said something I regret today, but he’s a f*cking idiot, let’s be honest.
“I mean come on, look at him, he’s a f*cking embarrassment to himself.
“You see him at that press conference the other day in that f*cking suit on? He looked like a pimp from the 80s.
“He’s terrible, he’s terrible. He just needs to stop trying so hard. Stop trying to be a d*ck. Obviously being a d*ck comes naturally to him, he doesn’t need to be trying so f*cking hard.”
Covington will face Rafael dos Anjos for the interim UFC welterweight title at UFC 225 on June 5, but Bisping still isn’t convinced he’s made a big mark on the sport.
Despite having five wins in a row with victories over the likes of Demian Maia, Max Griffin and Dong Hyun Kim, Bisping still says Covington has a way to go before he’s backing up his talk.
“Where did he go? Where did he go? He hasn’t gone anywhere yet,” Bisping said.
“He’s had a couple of fights and beat Demian Maia in Brazil, then talked a load of s*it and then got a boomerang thrown at him in Brazil by Werdum and he went to the police crying like a little baby.
“He hasn’t got anywhere yet. He’s siting at that press conference trying to talk s*it and he’s just trying to be Conor McGregor.
“Listen, I don’t want to sit here and talk s*it, but you asked me the question.”
