Max Holloway’s UFC 300 Challenge: A Door-Opener
Max Holloway, the former UFC featherweight champion, is gearing up for a significant bout at UFC 300 on April 14. He’ll face top lightweight and BMF champion Justin Gaethje. Holloway’s last venture into lightweight was a tough battle against UFC star Dustin Poirier. In a chat with Kevin Iole, Holloway shared his reasons for the weight class switch again.
He quipped, “Seemed like Justin Gaethje needed a dance partner. Oliveira and Islam were booked already. The BMF belt is cool. 155 is just 10lbs up from 145, I can compete in both. Why not? I think this fight is going to open many doors, but let’s see what happens. I got a dangerous guy in Justin Gaethje to focus on. I want to get my hand raised and shock the world.”
