Matt Brown Suffers Knee Injury, Out of Fight Against Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29

An injury has forced veteran welterweight Matt Brown out of his fight against Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29 in Arizona

Matt Brown has suffered an injury that will force him out of his upcoming co-main event fight against Carlos Condit at UFC on FOX 29 in Arizona on April 14.

Sources close to the situation confirmed that Brown suffered a torn ACL that will keep him out of action for the next nine to 12 months.

It’s an unfortunate turn of events for Brown, who had contemplated retirement just last year but ultimately decided to stick around when the opportunity to face Condit was offered by the UFC.

Brown suffered a back injury the last time he was scheduled to meet Condit back in 2013 and the matchup was never put together again until now.

Sadly, Brown will now have to wait for the better part of a year before he will be able to book his next fight while the UFC is searching for a replacement opponent to face Condit on short notice.
