Marcin Wrzosek vs Kleber Koike Erbst Set For KSW 44
The vacant KSW featherweight title will be up for grabs at KSW on June 9 when former champions Kleber Koike Erbst and Marcin “The Polish Zombie” Wrzosek meet for the second time.
The two first clashed back at KSW 39 in May last year where Erbst defeated Wrzosek via a unanimous decision to claim the KSW featherweight title. The two will now face each other in a rematch at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland on June 9.
Wrzosek (13-4) won the belt back in Dec. 2016 when he defeated the then champion Artur Swoinski via TKO in the second round. The Shark Top Team man then dropped the belt to Erbst at the next KSW event, before then going on to rebound with a convincing unanimous decision victory over Roman Szyma?ski at KSW 41 last Dec.
Erbst (23-4-1) lost the title prior to his fight with Sowinski at KSW 41 after failing to make championship weight. He then went on to beat Sowinski via submission in the third round.
KSW 44 will be headlined by a KSW heavyweight bout pitting former champion Karol Bedorf vs Marcius Pudzianowski. The only other official bout is a showdown between Polish actor Tomasz Oswiecinski and Bosnian bodybuilder Erko Jun.
Former KSW welterweight champion Borys Mankowski is also expected to return.
