Mamed Khalidov Returns At KSW 42 In A Champion vs Champion Showdown

Mamed Khalidov will face yet another KSW champion in a catchweight bout at KSW 42

KSW middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov will return to the KSW cage on March 3 when he faces the KSW light heavyweight champion, Tomasz Narkun at KSW 42.

Khalidov was last in action back at the KSW 39: Coliseum show where he faced KSW welterweight champion Borys Mankowski in a catchweight contest. That evening, Khalidov edged a narrow decision, but he felt the wrath of the 58,000 strong crowd who booed him as he left the arena. Regardless, the win took Khalidov’s winning streak to 14 fights and he remains undefeated since 2010 with wins over the likes of Melvin Manhoef, Jesse Taylor, Michael Materla and Luke Barnatt.

If Khalidov is going to stretch his winning run to 15, he will have to take out the KSW 205-pounds champion Narkun, who he will fight in a catchweight contest at a yet to be determined weight.

Narkun won the KSW light heavyweight title back at KSW 32 when he defeated Goran Reljic via TKO in the first round. Since then, the Pole has successfully defended his title three times with three finishes inside the first round. Narkun also last fought at KSW 39 where he defeated Marcin Wójcik with a triangle submission.

Several other KSW fighters have been announced for the KSW 42 show with Michael Materla (22-4), Lukasz Jurkowski (16-10), former KSW heavyweight champion Karol Bedorf (14-3) and KSW women’s flyweight champion Ariane Lipski (10-3) all featuring.
