YouTuber Logan Paul challenges Floyd Mayweather Jr: “Bring it”
Logan Paul has only one professional boxing bout on his record, a decision loss to fellow Youtuber Olajide “KSI” Olatunji, but that does not hinder him from issuing a challenge to one of the best boxers that has ever lived.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently announced his return to boxing, and it did not take long before he had been called out from numerous people, including the infamous Logan Paul.
Both KSI and Logan Paul were among the names as potential opponents for the 42-year-old Mayweather, but Logan went one step further and wrote “bring it @FloydMayweather” on his Instagram stories.
Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul
Even though Logan Paul’s 2018 amateur bout against KSI wasn’t between two professional boxers, their popularity made over 1,2 million people buy the PPV and had over 2.25 million viewers live.
Their rematch, a professional boxing bout, also gained world-wide attention and sparked a new interest for Paul as a fighter. Former welterweight UFC Champion Tyron Woodley said that he wouldn’t be surprised if the UFC signed Paul.
But a fight between Mayweather and Logan Paul are extremely unlikely, but people are nevertheless entertaining the thought of a YouTuber trading blows with a legend of the sport of boxing.
A more likely opponent for Mayweather would be his former foe Manny Pacquiao, who shared the ring with “Money” Mayweather in May 2015. The bout was billed as “Fight of the Century” and broke several records, including the PPV viewership record in The States and the highest-grossing PPV in history.
Another likely opponent for Mayweather is MMA royalty Conor McGregor which shared the ring with the American boxer in August 2017. McGregor got stopped by TKO in the tenth round, but many fans thought the bout was competitive enough to be interested in a rematch.
