Liam McGeary vs Vadim Nemkov Confirmed For Bellator 194
Former Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary will take on Russian fighter Vadim Nemkov at Bellator 194 on Feb. 16 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
The bout was first announced by Nemkov via the Russian outlet Tass, MMA Junkie then confirmed the news with the promotion earlier today.
McGeary (12-2) is coming off the back of a loss to Linton Vassell in May last year at Bellator 179 in London, England when he was defeated in the third round via submission. The Russian fought across multiple promotions including RIZIN FF, M-1 Global and Fight Nights Global before signing for Bellator in 2017. According to Tapology, Nemkov is a 3-time national and 2014 world combat sambo champion and is a training partner of Fedor Emelianenko. His older, Viktor Nemkov is the current M-1 Light Heavyweight champion.
