KSW Boss Lewandowski Confirms Marcin Wrzosek vs Kleber Koike Erbst Is Targeted For 2018

KSE co-founder Martin Lewandowski has confirmed the promotion are targeting a rematch between Marcin Wrzosek and Kleber Koike Erbst

The KSW featherweight belt is currently vacant, but it appears the promotion is targeting a rematch between former champions Marcin Wrzosek and Kleber Koike Erbst.

Speaking this week in Wroclaw, Poland ahead of KSW 43, KSW co-founder Martin Lewandowski confirmed that the promotion want to rematch Wrzosek and Erbst on a fight card later this year.

“I can confirm that this rematch is something we want to do this year,” Lewandowski said.

“I can’t tell you that it will be at KSW 44 because we need to sign a new contract with Koike.”

Re-singing Erbst to a new contract appears to be the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle. The Japanese fighter has just one fight left on his KSW contract and the promotion appear to be reluctant to book him in another championship bout until he signs a new contract.

“I can tell you we still have a contract valid right now, but we want to extend,” Lewandowski said.

“He was a former champion so we’re in the process of negotiation right now.

“I believe he will be our fighter for the next couple of years if he signs a new contract.

“For me, if I have a fighter signed for one fight it’s a different point of view for the future as to whether he’s going to stay with us or go in a different direction, this will determine the opponent and his future.

“This is a fight I would like to see in KSW most definitely.”
