UFC 276: Khamzat Chimaev vs Nate Diaz?
Nate Diaz has only one fight left on his UFC contract and has recently expressed his desire to leave the organization. Among other things, he has accepted a fight against former interim champion Dustin Poirier but nothing has materialized yet. This has created great frustration for Diaz, who urged the UFC boss to release him from his contract publicly on social media.
– I have tried to fight against everyone and nothing happens, Nate wrote. What’s the UFC thing? I will not fight Conor, he sucks. I’m fighting (anyone), stop taking so long on you), please. Thanks.
However, Diaz has been challenged by a number of fighters, including Gilbert Burns and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. He has not competed since June last year when he lost a verdict against top-ranked Leon Edwards.
Khamzat was last in the octagon last month when he defeated “Durinho” Burns in a Fight of the Year. It was the first time Khamzat went to distance and he is now ranked third in the welterweight division and has been in discussions to face Colby Covington. However, Khamzat himself has challenged UFC champions Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya.
