Breaking odds: Kamaru Usman clear betting favourite over Colby Covington
This weekend at UFC on ESPN 5 Colby Covington lined up yet another victory after dominating former champ Robbie Lawler for five rounds and winning a clear cut decision. The win all but guarantees Covington a title shot against reigning welterweight champ Kamaru Usman – who odds makers favour.

Ohmbet recently released the betting lines for the fight, showing Usman as a a clear favourite at 1.50 and Covington as underdog at 2.45. The two fighters have similar, wrestling heavy fighting styles, though Usman is seen by most as having more power.

The win over Lawler was Covington’s seventh straight victory, a win streak that includes decision wins over Rafael dos Anjos and Dong Hyun Kim. Usman, however, sits on a ten fight win streak – the longest in the division. He has yet to taste defeat in the UFC, and was most recently active at UFC 235 where he dominated Tyron Woodley for five rounds.
Betting lines for Yair Rodriguez vs Jeremy Stephens
New odds were also released for the main event for UFC Mexico City on september 21st. It’s a tough fight to pick, clearly reflected in the betting lines that were released by Ohmbet, It’s more or less a pick-em fight, with Rodriguez at 1.80 and Stephens at 1.95. Rodriguez is coming off of a spectacular knockout win over Chan Sung Jung in his last outing, meanwhile Stephens has lost his two latest bouts.
