Justin Gaethje open to facing Conor McGregor: “Want to F**k him up”
Lightweight standout Justin Gaethje took the leap to contender after knocking out former title challenger Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the first round. It was a impressive showing, and Gaethje’s third KO win. After the victory he rightfully asked for the next shot at the title against the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson. But another fight may very well come first.
In a post fight talk with ESPN, he was presented with a Twitter post from former UFC double champion Conor McGregor. The tweet featured nothing but a picture of McGregor, posted shortly after Gaethje knocked out “Cowboy”.

When asked about potentially facing McGregor, Gaethje was quite clear.
“If he’s gonna fight I definitely want to fight him. He punched an old man in the face, I want to fuck him up for that.”

There is no UFC event booked for Dublin on December 14th. In fact, UFC 245 is scheduled for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on that date. It’s unclear what McGregor is alluding to, and if it is connected to Gaethje’s challenge.
