Justin Bieber: “I’m the Conor McGregor of entertainment”
It seems that Justin Bieber fancies himself a dangerous fighter, and he’s gone so far to compare himself to the biggest star in MMA: Conor McGregor.
Last summer, world famous pop star Justin Bieber issued a bizarre challenge to fight Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise. This was odd as the call out seemed to come from nowhere, from a then 24 year-old and directed at an actor in his 50’s. Bieber even tagged UFC president Dana White in the post, suggestion legitimacy.
“I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you dont take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? (Dana White)?”
The call out was met with ridicule from the MMA community. While an actor, Cruise does most of his own stunts and has trained in martial arts for several fight choreographies in his many action films. This led to Jackass personality Steve-O, in turn challenging Bieber. However after the initial waves were made, talk involving Bieber and MMA died down. Until recently.

Yesterday Bieber was a guest on comedian James Corben’s popular Youtube series Carpool Karaoke. While Bieber said that the initial call out was meant as a joke, he later took the idea seriously. Despite this, Corben insisted that Cruise would defeat Bieber in an actual fight.
“There’s absolutely no way [Tom Cruise wins in a fight],” Bieber said. “He’s not the guy you see in movies, he’s not… Phenomenal shape doesn’t mean you’re a good fighter.”
“I’m dangerous. My agility is crazy, my agility is insane.”
Corben continued to question and ridicule Bieber, who grew increasingly frustrated, and then said he was the entertainment version of Conor McGregor.
“My mind control is another specimen, I’m different. I’m the Conor McGregor of entertainment,” Justin Bieber said. “I’m starting to get frustrated because you’re really boiling me up, man. I want to fight you!”
As of yet, McGregor has not commented on the comparison.
