Jorge Masvidal Reflects on Loss to Nate Diaz: “Absolutely Insane”
“The judges were influenced”
Former UFC star Jorge Masvidal had his first boxing match since 2005 this past weekend. The 39-year-old faced former UFC title challenger Nate Diaz at a boxing event in Anaheim, California. After ten closely contested rounds, Diaz was declared the winner by decision. Now, Masvidal has spoken out about the weekend’s loss.
– The judges were definitely influenced by the crowd. I rocked him several times, hit him in the body multiple times. One of the judges only gave me two rounds? That’s not reasonable. From what I saw, I did more damage than him. I landed cleaner shots. He put a lot of pressure on me, but he never hurt me. He didn’t land a single meaningful punch. It’s absolutely insane.
