Jorge Masvidal has mad love for McGregor: “I want to rearrange his face”
Is it possible to have genuine respect for someone, and want to smash their face in at the same time?
UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal can’t help to give credit for what Conor McGregor has made in the sport, but he also wants to share the cage with “The Notorious” and give the Irishman a new look:
“I want to rearrange his face,” Jorge Masvidal said about fighting Conor McGregor.
“I wouldn’t mind collecting a nice check and whooping his ass, because that’s a bad motherf-cker. You know? Take nothing from the man. He’s got two belts at 145 pounds and 155 pounds – not easy weights to win at.”
On the “Pardon My Take” podcast, Masvidal continued to share his thoughts on McGregor accomplishment and once again doubled down that he wants to fight the former double champion.
“Both times that he won the belt, it was unquestioned. It was no opposition. It was no fighting really. It was just he went in there, did what he wanted, and came home with the belt. So I would definitely like to fight him,” Masvidal continued.
Jorge Masvidal vs. Conor McGregor?
McGregor is currently booked to make his return to MMA competition after more than a year away. He is set to fight Donald Cerrone in a welterweight bout at UFC 246 on Jan. 18, 2020.
Would he get passed “Cowboy” Cerrone, UFC President Dana White has promised that McGregor will get another crack at the lightweight title.
But depending on the outcome in January, a superfight between Masvidal and McGregor is looming.
“We’re working on it,” Masvidal stated. “Hopefully by Jan. 18 – we’ll have a date set after Jan. 18.”
